Instagram Sample Sale!

With the home addition in its (hopefully) last month of construction, I have been eagerly anticipating moving Knittedhome into her new studio(!).

And with that I have been organizing + reorganizing + purging anything that won't have a dedicated space.  Including early samples.

So today I am posting them on Instagram for your last chance to nab one of these beauties before they are gone.

Any samples that aren't purchased by the time construction is complete will be donated.

I hope you'll take this opportunity to hop over to Instagram + snatch them up before they're gone.

Please feel free to tag your friends in the comments (on Instagram).  I'd love to see these go to new homes instead of the donate bin :)

Which one(s) are your favorite?  Even though it's hard to let go, how do you make way for new inspiration?

  1. Nice! I'm feeling inspired lately, so I might start some new projects (I'm even thinking about doing a crochet one, instead of sewing for a change). This is a great reminder to purge some old to make space for new =) Thanks for always being inspirational!

  2. That's so cool they've been growing so fast. Here's hoping they haven't washed away with all the extra rain!

  3. Snap dragons are some of my favorites! I remember my mom planting them when I was little =)

  4. Yay!! I love when the inspiration hits! :) They are the best - unless I have lots of housework to do first :-\

If you are looking for a place to purge your yarn stash, I'm going to encourage other Yarn Night members to bring their cast-offs as well so we can all have a "Stash Swap" in the coming months leading up to the holidays. Wouldn't it be fun to try new yarn (for free!?) while knitting or crocheting up your holiday gifts?? You should come! Every third Saturday, 3-7pm, $5 -- or wait til the next Open House and it will probably be on sale for $2.50! I'm going to start the Stash Swap come August I'm thinking. Let me know if you're interested!

  5. Haha, I know, right!? It is crazy how fast they have been growing! Even today I walked out and they are ANOTHER foot (maybe more like 3 inches) taller! Especially the thistle :( Luckily none have washed away... yet. The asparagus is the only thing that looks pretty brown. :-\ And the rhubarb looks like it took a terrible beating from all the rain off the roof. But the crown looks in tact + still sending out new growth.

Did you plant anything this year?

  6. My dad planted a patch in our flower garden when I was growing up + I always loved pinching their "cheeks" to make them "snap." :) Happy, silly memories, for sure!

  7. A Stash Swap is a GREAT idea! I've got a lot of yarn I had just planned on getting rid of, but this would be great to see if anyone is interested in what I've got to get rid of. August 15 sounds awesome! I will be done with the first wedding reception by then, so I should be able to attend *knock on wood* Here's hoping for another open house soon ;)

  8. Nothing planted this year. I should've done container cat nip, but my usual source (Whiteford greenhouse) doesn't do it anymore. I've got an old chia pet I could set up that the cats might like lol. I actually got rid of a plastic planter thing this week. It wasn't easy enough to move and our back yard is all shade.

  9. As long as you're on the email list (which I'm sure you are), you'll get an email notification as soon as I know when the next open house is :) I'm glad you like the idea! I'm going to pitch it to the rest of hte email group + see what they think. I'm excited to start holiday crafting as a group as the weather gets cooler. :)

  10. Yeah, bummer. I've only tried to grow catnip once but I don't remember how well it grew.
